Udyam Registration is the new name of old udyog aadhaar registration. In other words it is the new way for registering under micro, small and medium enterprises and the registration process will be known as udyam registration. It can also be said as micro,small and medium enterprises registration. It came into existence on july 1 , 2020.

The ministry of micro,small and medium enterprises provided the notification on 26 june  2020, according to which all the micro,small and medium enterprises will be now called as udyam. The word udyam represents the business. The union minister has integrated the income tax and good services tax with the new process of udyam registration.

After the implementation of udyam registration, the process for registering under micro, small and medium enterprises will now become more faster and easier through the new government udyam portal. Any person can easily register under this portal by just providing their aadhaar card.

When you are enrolled for registration and after the successful completion of msme registration you will be provided with the udyam registration certificate and a unique identification number known as the udyam registration number.

• 100 percent collateral or security free bank loans
• Protection against default and delayed payments
• Concession will be given on the payment of the water and electricity bill.
• Export will now not be given consideration while calculating turnover.
• Industrial promotion subsidy eligibility will be given.
• Enterprises which are registered under micro,small and medium enterprises get eligibility for credit linked capital subsidy schemes.

 Eligibility criteria for udyam registration:

• Sole proprietor.
• Hindu undivided family.
• One person company.
• Partnership firm.
• Private limited or limited company.
• Co-operative societies or any association of persons.

 Documents required for udyam registration:

• Aadhaar card.
• Good services tax index number and permanent account number for company registration
